We greatly encourage your e-mail messages, but please note the following:

  • E-mail messages are received and read by Valley during business hours Monday through Friday. Most messages are replied to the same day. However, some highly detailed inquiries may take several days to receive a response. If this is the case we will let you know when you can expect an answer.

  • Do not e-mail us in a medical emergency of any kind. Call your local ambulance or emergency services provider.

  • We do not offer medical advice via e-mail. Concerns pertaining to medical diagnoses and treatments should be discussed with your physician. If you do not have a physician, you can view a list of cancer physicians by clicking here, or you can use our database of physicians in all specialties by clicking here.(Or, you can call 1-800-VALLEY1.)

  • Please do not attempt to contact your physician via this e-mail function. If you need to reach your physician, please do so by telephone or with an e-mail address that your physician provides.

  • Due to patient confidentiality, we do not provide any information about our patients via e-mail. We cannot confirm that a patient has been admitted, his/her condition or any details on a patient’s progress. For this information, please call 201-447-8400 and a hospital representative will kindly assist you.

  • At this time our e-mail system does not support HTML-formatted messages. Such e-mails cannot be read and therefore cannot be replied to.

  • Due to the incompatibility of some e-mail systems and the sometimes unpredictable nature of technology such as the internet, some messages may reach us in an unreadable manner, or not reach us at all. If you do not receive a reply from us, it means we were unable to read your message, it did not reach us for some reason, or our reply to you keeps bouncing back to us. Our toll-free information service, 1-800-VALLEY 1 (1-800-825-5391), is always available if you have a question about Valley Health System and/or its physicians.

  • If you have e-mail filtering software on your computer, you may not receive our reply to you. Valley makes guarantees that its e-mail responses will reach their destination. If you do not hear from us regarding an inquiry, you call follow-up by phone by calling 201-291-6330.
